Hello mates! Welcome back to our Monthly Progress Update, where we try and maybe fail to remember what we did this month! This Progress Update is special however, as we hadn't made a Progress Update for June, so today we'll be covering June AND July!!
Starting very early into June, as we had teased near the end of May, we had started to make "Multi's Mathematics: Jelly Edition", a modification of
Baldi's Basics Classic by Basically Games starring Multi and his friends. We finished planning most of it quite early and had actually ended up wrapping up the first pass of textures quite early and started importing them into the game... before I had gotten a new computer and completely rethought the entire project.
This doesn't mean it's the end for Multi's Mathematics: Jelly Edition however, we still intend to finish the project, but we don't fully know exactly when we'll get back to it, and we kinda wanna focus more on original content rather than modifying other games... ignore the "Mods" part of our name- /j

Soon after we had temporarily put Multi's Mathematics: Jelly Edition on the shelf, we started to work on fixing up our website. I always had some small issues with how the website appeared as of v2.1.0b, and I had plans to change it. v3.0.0 had originally started as simply v2.2.0, however it quickly turned into a complete remake of the website, mostly from scratch, so we decided to bump it up to v3.0.0.
After we figured out what we wanted to change, it was quite easy to get it all done, we had quickly cleaned everything up except for the Discover Page. There were multiple concepts, including a sticker book, a very "formal" and "serious" database, and a computer program. After some playing around, we decided to stick with the computer program decision, which I think has let the Discover Page become way easier to navigate and look way better.
Near the end though, we had started to rush the remaining things we had to finish. Fortunately, we only had to finish how the website appeared on mobile devices and the Newsletter for the release... unfortunately, they're kinda important. Because of this, we had already planned a post-launch patch that later became v3.0.0a that released recently, fixing all of the issues we had with v3.0.0.
We hadn't worked on Frenzy's Garbage Can too much during June. In fact, as far as I can remember, not much of anything came out of the first half of June for Frenzy's Garbage Can. Early into July, however, Frenzy's Garbage Can had ran into a big issue, which I will let Frenzy talk about now:
fgc is DEAD MEDIA! i liked the concepts made with it but motivation to keep it going has been hard to maintain.

That was when we had decided to just outright scrap Frenzy's Garbage Can. If we had decided to keep running with it as it was, it would've just taken all the fun out of it and wouldn't have been too worth it... But we did come up with a replacement, of which we both co-own like Bagelverse so I'll be doing most of the maintenance. It takes some of our concepts for Frenzy's Garbage Can while fully defining and refining them, and while it is not too much of a priority right now, it doesn't even have a name yet, we do plan to work on it a bit later.

While v3.0.0a was being planned and made, I had realized that some of our work was... quite inconsistent. More specifically, our Profiles for our CHARACTERs and stuff. They share a similar general format, however the phrasing and order of how things are described doesn't really match across multiple Profiles and the quality tends to fluctuate. Because of this, I've written some guides for the team to help make sure that our Profiles, along with some other stuff like our CHANGELOGs, are written with better consistency and quality in mind, as best as we can manage. Because of this, we'll be rewriting some of our older Profiles to match our current framework, along with extending some and completely rewriting others, specifically the ITEMs because they were not only too video-game-like, but also because they were a bit too similar to what we were referencing for them and we want them to be a bit more original.
Overall, The Bagels n' Mods Team has mostly been going pretty well! I will be taking a bit of a vacation though, so I wouldn't expect too much of anything from us next month, at least in the beginning of August, but our other team members could technically do stuff for the team while I'm gone, so I wouldn't rule out the possibility of something in about the first half of August. That's it from me, goodbye!!
